About The Position

This is a contract position for a Food and Beverage Worker in the Parks & Recreation department, specifically for Cafe #9314. The role involves cooking, providing food service to guests, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment according to proper procedures. The worker will prepare food and equipment daily, stock inventories and supplies, and interact with the public with courtesy and tact. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions. Additional duties within the Parks & Recreation department may be assigned.

Requirements

• Florida ServSafe certification required within ninety (90) days of hire (provided by City)
• Ability to give and receive instructions
• Ability to apply consistent courtesy and tact in public contact and/or confrontational situations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in the elements
• Ability to speak, hear (perceive sound) and/or signal people to convey and exchange information
• Ability to differentiate between colors or shades of color
• Ability to read a variety of materials, at times complex
• Ability to apply principles of rational problem-solving
• Ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, issue and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in Standard English as primary language while performing job duties
