About The Position

Under general direction, to plan, coordinate, and administer the Office of Acquisition Policy (OAP), a division which oversees outreach, contract and labor compliance, and public/private partnership contracts; supervises OAP staff and oversees daily operation; provides specialized consultation; serves as liaison to County of Alameda (County) agencies/departments, contractors, community-based organizations, and other jurisdictions; and to perform related duties as required.

Requirements

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of full-time, increasingly responsible experience in construction management, contract compliance, equity programs, or industrial relations, including oversight and coordination of outreach and contract administration projects.
At least one (1) year of this experience must have been at a supervisory level.
Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
Willingness to travel to various locations within and outside the County and attend meetings/events outside of standard business hours.

Nice To Haves

Three (3) years of full-time experience as a Contract Compliance Officer or higher in the County’s classified service.
Four (4) years of additional full-time experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-to-year basis.
