Requirements

Masters degree in Counseling or a related field from a CACREP accredited school. If the school is not CACREP accredited there must be proof of completion of the educational equivalency review at the time of interview.
Active Colorado licensure required (LPC, LCSW)
Skill in assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning.
Must be willing to work in a team of professionals outside of the agency.
Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.

Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Professionalism working with internal staff and external partners is a must.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a high acuity environment and/or working with offense specific youth is preferred, however, Shiloh House remains excited to support new clinicians in the beginning stages of their careers.

Responsibilities

Provide life changing and individualized direct clinical services including individual, family, multi-family, and group therapy for a blended caseload of youth with significant trauma, mental health, and behavioral health needs, which may include youth in need of offense specific treatment. Clinicians typically carry a caseload of 7-9 youth.
Develop, implement, maintain, and utilize behavior management techniques with clients to ensure that their clinical needs are met. This may include detailed planning and instruction to other direct care staff members.
Collaborate with residential and education staff to foster a trauma informed and strengths based environment in school and milieu settings where all youth can thrive.
Complete clinical documentation including, but not limited to: assessments, treatment planning, progress reports, discharge summaries, court reports, and notes in a timely manner and in accordance with the guidelines set forth by local and national licensing and accrediting bodies.
Complete case management needs such as remaining in contact with families and members of multidisciplinary teams. This role will allow you to grow your experience in working with a variety of systems and individuals including probation officers, case workers, district liaisons, Guardian ad Litems, and more!
Participate in a Clinical On Call rotation.
