This role involves providing fair, equitable, respectful, and culturally relevant service to First Nations children and families, consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Kunuwanimano. The worker will maintain positive relationships with First Nations Councils, elders, committees, and applicable agencies, and subscribe to the organization's values, By-Laws, Policies, and Procedures. Responsibilities include establishing effective relationships with a caseload of children, providing counseling and crisis intervention, reporting incidents of abuse, participating in investigations, collaborating with Family Services Workers on plans of care, ensuring children's needs are met, coordinating family access visits, and developing/monitoring treatment plans. The role also supports the Family Services Worker in coordinating customary care and Agency placements.
