This role involves providing fair, respectful, and culturally relevant services to First Nations children and families, adhering to the Agency’s By-Laws, Policies, Procedures, and the Ontario Child Protection Standards. The position requires developing community links, providing ongoing child protection services to a caseload of voluntary and non-voluntary clients, investigating allegations of child abuse and/or maltreatment, and intervening in crisis situations. The worker will assess risk to children, determine necessary actions including potential alternative placements, and advocate for support services within the community. Additionally, the role includes coordinating customary care and society placements, preparing required documents, and acting as a witness in court matters.
