We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Contract Buyer to join our JDI Supply Chain team. The Contract Buyer supports sourcing strategy execution by coordinating RFx activities, evaluating supplier proposals, supporting negotiations, and managing supplier contracts and relationships. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant procurement of goods and services, while supporting cost, schedule, and risk objectives. We are looking for a self-motivated professional that enjoys problem solving, collaborating with others and has an aptitude for sourcing and relationship building. This position is located at our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick. What To Expect in a Typical Day: Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, project management) to execute sourcing initiatives and resolve procurement issues Issue and monitor RFx; engage with suppliers to request pricing, lead times, and clarify commercial scope details, including applicable terms and conditions Manage day‑to‑day supplier interactions, including communication on pricing, delivery schedules, performance issues, and contract compliance Support contract administration activities, including, amendments, extensions, and compliance tracking Balance competing priorities and respond to urgent site or project requirements in a fast‑paced environment
