Requirements

Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position.
Ability to understand how to identify, assess, and manage risks.
Knowledge of common insurance terms and products (General Liability, Property).
Proactive and driven to learn.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

Experience reviewing applications, evaluating risks, pricing, terms and conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

Review insurance applications and other supporting documents.
Gain experience in evaluating new and renewal business, understanding coverage criteria, and assessing potential risks.
Rating policies and preparing quotes, contributing to the determination of a risk.
Properly classifying risks and premium computation.
Other duties as assigned.
