Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of the GP accounting system.
  • Experience with the Suite Project Pro (OpenAir) accounting system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365.
  • Excel - advanced level.
  • Mastery of English is essential due to shared services and to maintain an acceptable ratio among holders of certain positions to ensure effective coordination and service delivery within the organization.

  • Hold the CPA designation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor a portfolio of engineering projects and collaborate with billing agents to ensure the conformity and quality of information in files.
  • Organize periodic meetings with project managers for the evaluation of ongoing work for revenue recognition purposes.
  • Calculate project profitability based on work progress and test its reasonableness.
  • Identify at-risk projects and follow up as needed with project managers (fee requests, change orders, overruns, etc.).
  • Support project managers in analyzing and understanding project financial data (training, reports, follow-ups).
  • Participate in the production of reports, statistics, performance indicators, and quarterly presentations for management.
  • Ensure the updating of billable rates in compliance with contracts and government bodies.
  • Propose, develop, and implement control strategies and methods for projects.
  • Participate in procedures related to accounting closing activities and the audit file with external auditors.
  • Perform other related tasks, including administrative ones.
