About The Position

The Zurn Elkay Business Systems (ZEBS) Specialist provides support to the Zurn Elkay Business System practical application of lean operations, lean growth initiatives, and six sigma tools to support the corporate team. This person will provide tactical implementation of all elements of the Zurn Elkay Business System encompassing practical application of lean operations, operational excellence and six sigma tools and processes. In this position, successful candidates will make immediate contributions through enhancing key business processes that add value to Our Customers, Our Shareholders, and Our Associates. This role will play a key part in the process to analyze and improve our manufacturing and distribution network’s ability to offer best in class service to our customers while maximizing cash flow and minimizing costs. This individual will also consolidate and integrate information to develop and propose operations strategy while tracking and overseeing projects and action plans, working with multiple people across multiple groups or functions outside of the team, without direct reporting authority. This position will be based onsite in our Freeport, IL facility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of experience in a process based environment with assignments in lean/continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Learn the Zurn Elkay Business System and the ZEBS Blueprint, adopt the ZEBS standards, and apply and uphold the expectations set by these standards.
Support site initiatives to drive ZEBS adoption and associate participation (including process experts) through the business.
Document “best practices” in company and build sharing platform for associates.
Facilitate daily management for ZEBS team along all key metrics.
Identify and propose site solutions to minimize and manage resource constraints
Facilitate and support lean processes in accordance with the organization’s Lean Implementation Plan (ZEBS Trainings, Boot Camps, Standard Work, 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen and Pull Principles).
Lead ZEBS #CI program through associate participation and prioritizing top opportunities to implement best practices.
Support Strategy Deployment process by ensuring core deliverables are translated to roadmaps and adherence is maintained.
Facilitate problem solving to address and resolve problems in a systemic way.
