About The Position

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will partner with leaders across the organization to improve processes, facilitate and lead strategic initiatives, and create meaningful impact every day. Reporting to the Manager of Organizational Development and Strategy, the Continuous Improvement Specialist position is responsible for providing support to organizational business units by leading various process improvement initiatives, leading and facilitating small and large groups, coaching others in process improvement tools and methodologies, and acting as the OD&S liaison with designated departments supporting them through annual corporate planning processes as well as reporting processes on priority projects. As such, the successful candidate must be able to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, maintain records and documentation, and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) year post-secondary diploma.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of facilitation experience including experience leading projects.
  • Project experience using project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in Lean Six Sigma methodology (Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification) and/or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • PROSCI Certification or other ACMP recognized Change Management certification.
  • Proficiency with other Microsoft 365 applications (SharePoint, Visio, and Power BI).
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders and foster cooperative, respectful working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and resolve challenges.
  • Solid project management experience to plan, coordinate, and successfully deliver initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Training and coaching others in process improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitating small and large group sessions – leading in the identification of challenges/opportunities and facilitating consensus on solutions.
  • Serve as OD&S liaison with designated departments supporting them in the annual corporate planning processes and reporting on priority projects.
