About The Position

Our client in Perris, CA, one of America's most respected and innovative homebuilders, is looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Continuous Improvement Specialist to support operations on their team! This is an on-site/full-time/direct hire position. This role is hands‑on, tactical, and deeply embedded on the production floor—focused on executing lean initiatives, improving processes, and elevating team engagement. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced manufacturing environments, brings strong analytical and documentation skills, and is passionate about building a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience with process development, controlled documentation, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and MS Office; strong computer literacy and ability to build tracking tools and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify documentation gaps and implement solutions quickly.
  • Strong communication, motivation, and team‑building skills; able to cultivate trust and positive influence.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies, process mapping, and root‑cause analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement lean tools including 5S, visual management, standard work, and kaizen activities in partnership with production leadership.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and controlled documentation to ensure process accuracy and consistency.
  • Track and report KPIs related to productivity, quality, waste reduction, and workflow performance.
  • Facilitate daily/weekly improvement huddles with frontline teams to gather feedback and drive engagement.
  • Support rollout of new equipment or process changes by coordinating training, documentation, and communication.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining skills matrices and job task analyses to support cross‑training and workforce flexibility.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through recognition programs, suggestion systems, and improvement campaigns.
  • Provide administrative and tactical support for CI projects, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure real‑time visibility of performance metrics for production leaders and team members.
  • Prepare reports, data summaries, and improvement documentation for leadership review.
