About The Position

The Role: Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. The continuous improvement role involves analyzing business and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implementing changes to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Our team uses methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to guide our work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions that align with Entegris goals. The role requires strong analytical skills, project management, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for data analysis and project management tools are often needed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Yellow or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
  • Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Graduating in December 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Data analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret production and workflow data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Process improvement: Perform process mapping, conduct root cause analysis, and develop action plans to address inefficiencies.
  • Project support: Assist with leading projects that aim to improve quality, safety, and cost savings, often by applying Lean principles or supporting events like Kaizen.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, such as operations, quality, and management, to implement and monitor improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and reporting: Document processes, help create and deliver presentations on project findings, and provide feedback on procedures.
