See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the planning and execution of continuous improvement strategies across P&A Distribution Operation. Partner with senior functional and location leaders to identify, plan and execute continuous improvement projects to support Mercury’s goals for safety, quality, service, revenue growth and cost. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through project mentorship and formalized CI training. Execute results orientated strategic CI projects utilizing LSS tools. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain management or related field is required.
  • 4-7 years relevant professional experience with 3-5 years LSS and/or other CI methodologies application.
  • LSS Green belt certification
  • Base understanding of key business drivers (P&L, Overhead, Budget process)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in LSS and continuous improvement application.
  • Drive results through influence, with some prior direct leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5-10 years Operations Management or Industrial Engineering experience
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Labor Management Systems (LMS)
  • Power BI, Excel and Sequel experience
  • Direct team leadership experience
  • A graduate degree in business or MBA would be beneficial
  • Black Belt, or other Lean/ Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead site wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across the Brownsburg DC to solve critical issues impacting operations.
  • Create and maintain continuous improvement roadmap for operation.
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) steering committee to support annual financial and employee development goals.
  • Develop and execute Lean Six Sigma strategies aligned with long term business objectives
  • Utilize structured data sets to uncover anomalies, bottlenecks and root causes of operational inefficiencies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with creative ideas utilizing statistics and excellent communication skills
  • Build data driven business cases and quantify financial benefits from improvement projects
  • Drive employee engagement in continuous improvement activities by building a culture of accountability and data driven decision making.
  • Measure & review processes for effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best Practice.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Lean Six Sigma practices and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Coach, counsel and train managers, staff, and associates to apply, support, sustain and develop a CI culture.
  • Manage and motivate teams to challenge the status quo to meet accelerating goals and timelines.
  • Ability to partner with Operations Management, Supervisors, Engineering, Inventory Control, IT, Transportation, and Safety Teams.
