About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Leader leads the Intertape Performance System (IPS) and drives excellence throughout the Bardstown site through employee engagement. The role drives the development and integration of continuous improvement methodologies across the organization, aligning activities with site operating goals and corporate strategies, plans, and objectives.

The position collaborates with site leadership, process owners, project sponsors, engineering teams, and the Corporate IPS CI Pillar Team to identify and deliver high-impact initiatives. It supports project execution, implementation of improvement methods, change management, and communication, while establishing mechanisms to sustain progress and incorporating new methods and learnings from across the corporation. The role also leads assigned initiatives using continuous improvement principles, a value-stream approach, and the voice of the customer where appropriate. Travel is required as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of successful continuous improvement experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated project management and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated engineering background solving complex problems and process issues.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to influence and challenge an organization effectively.
• Ability to set and achieve breakthrough goals for self and projects.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of financial and other business measurements and ability to apply them effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing Six Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the site leadership team to identify and prioritize high-impact initiatives that can deliver step-change improvement.
• Ensure execution of continuous improvement projects, supporting project sponsors and process owners through successful completion.
• Assist continuous improvement teams with implementing methods and aligning projects with site operating goals.
• Provide site leadership for continuous improvement activities across all areas of the organization and link activities clearly to the value stream.
• Implement and maintain mechanisms to sustain progress as the site gains experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Incorporate learnings and new methods identified throughout the corporation into the site IPS.
• Coordinate closely with the Corporate IPS CI Pillar Team to align and improve the effectiveness of site activities with corporate strategies, plans, and objectives.
• Lead assigned high-impact initiatives using continuous improvement principles, a value-stream approach, and the voice of the customer as appropriate.
• Provide effective communication and change management within the site as needed for initiatives.
• Engage with site and corporate engineering teams to drive process improvement aligned with daily manufacturing needs and strategic goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Travel as needed based on business needs.
