About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position will be to support manufacturing, maintenance, and quality, complete capital and facility projects and monitor/maintain processes. The goal will be to keep the extrusion lines running continuously and efficiently while producing a product that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations. Designing, planning and implementing improvements to all aspects of the production processes to continually improve the efficiency of each department.

Requirements

Comply with Modern-Mill Safety Policies and Procedures.
Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
Can use software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
1 year of manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of extrusion processes.
Mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to work long hours.

Degree Preferred
Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma preferred

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing, maintenance, and quality.
Complete capital and facility projects.
Monitor and maintain processes.
Keep extrusion lines running continuously and efficiently.
Produce a product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Design, plan, and implement improvements to all aspects of the production processes.
Continually improve the efficiency of each department.
Set and start up the lab extruder for trials.
Manage projects, both capital and facility.
Manage budgets and complete timelines.
Write reports, create graphs, and complete presentations in front of Senior Staff.
Understand chemical formulations.
Work unsupervised or with a team environment.
Examine product for defects and correct them.
Measure the product to ensure it is within Modern-Mill Specs.
Notify Management/Supervisor/Quality of any quality or equipment issues.
