About The Position

York Space Systems is seeking a proactive and strategic Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive operational excellence and promote a culture of continuous improvement across functional groups, primarily for Supply Chain and Purchasing. This role will focus on helping teams achieve improved productivity and quality using Lean Six Sigma methods of data-driven decision-making, standardized processes, and proactive problem-solving. The specialist may also support testing of IT enhancements and system integrations, ensuring alignment between business needs and automation. This role will be fully on-site in our Greenwood Village office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, ERP implementation or project management.
  • Application of Lean or Six Sigma methods to drive improvements
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle, process mapping, and automation projects highly desirable.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with tools like Visio, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Leading Kaizen events
  • Managing multiple projects with focus on delivering on time results.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid or matrixed organizational structure.
  • Experience Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or lean environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current process maturity, identify gaps and prioritize areas of opportunity.
  • Develop and implement quick, visible process improvements with measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize work.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote Lean, Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure sustained improvements.
  • Lead or support improvement initiatives using structured project management tools.
  • Track progress, risks, and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on project outcomes and maturity progress.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define ERP requirements for enhancements.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure functional alignment.
  • Document test cases, results, and feedback for continuous refinement.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure seamless implementation.
