Requirements

Post secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline - or equivalent knowledge and/or experience
Excellent interpersonal/listening skills in order to interact with a diverse workforce
Mechanical aptitude and experience; analytical
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
Food manufacturing processes and food safety requirements
Outgoing, visible, and approachable with the ability to inspire and influence others
Problem solver with the courage to lead change; resolve conflict; respected and respectful
Committed to personal development
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to navigate a great deal of urgency while maintaining a positive team environment
Ability to travel between worksites

Responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on people, safety, quality, delivery and cost
Develop and implement standard work procedures and visual management systems.
Train and coach supervisors, team leaders, and operators on Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities related to productivity, downtime, waste reduction and yield improvement.
Drive initiatives focused on reducing product giveaway, improving packaging efficiency, and increasing line speeds while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Champion a culture of employee engagement, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
