About The Position

This role involves providing indirect patient care in a team-oriented environment with clinical pharmacists, regulated pharmacy technicians, assistants, doctors, and nurses. It is a continuing-care focused dispensary that fosters professional excellence in a team setting, divergent from conventional retail dispensaries. Pharmacy technicians and state-of-the-art technology are utilized to relieve pharmacists from routine tasks, allowing them to concentrate on practicing pharmacy. The role offers the tools and opportunity to practice in a well-equipped pharmacy with regular pharmacist overlap to optimize patient care. Resident care is paramount, with all pharmacists committed to maintaining professionalism and innovative resident care services.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• License to practice Pharmacy in Canada
• Registered with Alberta College of Pharmacists
• Willing to participate in continued education to upgrade his/her knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer and staff relations
• Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach
• Ability to work quickly, multi-task and work well under pressure
• A high level of professionalism, energy and enthusiasm
• Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in therapeutic evaluation of prescriptions
• Monitoring patient profiles/electronic charts
• Clinical services support as per Alberta Pharmacy Services Framework
• Overseeing compounding and unit-dose packaging activities
• Involvement with disease management and compliance programs
• Participating in seminars, workshops, and clinics
