Responsible for centralized coordination of contingent labor resources for travelers and Internal Resource Pool (IRP) for the organization staffing needs. This role provides high-quality customer service to department leaders, utilizing timekeeping and vendor management systems. The specialist proactively schedules, assists with, and reassigns staff to ensure the most qualified and cost-efficient staff are matched to current needs, applying knowledge of hospital, nursing, and central staffing office policies and procedures. They communicate directly with patient care leadership to increase staff availability and flexibility, assist with booking staff to open shifts, and enter accurate scheduling, attendance, and timekeeping information into scheduling software. The role involves running reports to track resource assignments, reporting unresolved problems to leadership, and maintaining positive working relationships. Confidentiality of patient and hospital information is paramount, with discussions limited to appropriate personnel in private settings. Responsibilities also include posting opportunities, vetting candidate qualifications and documentation, monitoring onboarding accuracy, analyzing and communicating information regarding orders, and communicating verbally and in writing with key stakeholders. The specialist processes onboarding resources in alignment with procurement and human resources processes, serving as a problem solver for department decisions related to procurement. Strong analytical skills are required for data gathering, interpretation, and report preparation. Comprehensive knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures, along with basic knowledge of the specialized field, is necessary. Participation in interviews is also part of the role.
