About The Position

Paces Restoration, An American Restoration Brand, has over 25 years of restoration experience and operates as a 24/7 COMPLETE restoration company. The Content Cleaner/Packer is responsible for carefully packing, transporting, cleaning, organizing, documenting, and restoring personal belongings affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, or other property damage. This position requires attention to detail, organization, physical stamina, and the ability to handle customers’ personal belongings with care and respect. The Content Cleaner/Packer works in residential and commercial properties and may work independently or as part of a restoration crew. The primary objective of the Content Cleaner/Packer is to safely and efficiently protect, clean, document, and restore the customer's personal belongings while providing a professional customer experience throughout the restoration process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous restoration, cleaning, moving, warehouse, packing, or contents-handling experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to pass company-required background and employment screening.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills.
  • Willingness to learn restoration procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Water mitigation or restoration experience.
  • Fire and smoke restoration experience.
  • Contents cleaning and pack-out experience.
  • Moving or warehouse experience.
  • Experience using inventory or documentation software.
  • IICRC training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pack and carefully handle household and personal belongings during restoration projects.
  • Sort, label, inventory, and organize contents according to established procedures.
  • Load and unload daily job materials from properties, company vehicles, storage facilities, and job sites.
  • Photograph and document contents before, during, and after handling.
  • Clean and deodorize contents affected by water, smoke, fire, mold, or other damage.
  • Use appropriate cleaning methods and equipment based on the type of item and level of contamination.
  • Wrap and protect furniture, appliances, electronics, clothing, household goods, and other personal property.
  • Prepare contents for off-site cleaning, storage, or return to the customer's property.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of packed, cleaned, damaged, discarded, and returned items.
  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow company procedures for handling potentially contaminated or hazardous materials.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, vehicles, tools, and cleaning supplies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers while working inside their homes or businesses.
  • Protect customer property and always maintain a professional appearance.
  • Complete required paperwork, photographs, inventories, and job documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and restoration industry procedures.
