About The Position
Responsible for assisting the driver with route preparation; navigating the route; loading, unloading and assembling documents and merchandise at the customer's location.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years or age.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record
- Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively use power and hand tools
Responsibilities
- Navigate driver to the location including getting out of the truck at the location to assist driver in maneuvering around power lines, driveways, trees, etc.
- Telephone customers and notify them of expected arrival time.
- Maintain 5S's Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in dock areas including exterior truck wells.
- Accurately load and unload documents/merchandise on and off the truck. Ensure documents/merchandise are secure, safe and free from damage.
- Place and assemble merchandise at customer location as required.
- Assist driver with notifying the office of PO/PB results. Notify dock supervisor of merchandise rejected by the customer.
- Assist Daily with paperwork as needed.
- Occasionally fill in as driver (if properly licensed) when driver is absent.
- Adherence to the Company's appearance guidelines.
