About The Position

The Content Mover / Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely packing, handling, transporting, cleaning, inventorying, and storing customers’ personal belongings during restoration projects. This position operates company box trucks and requires the ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements and safely operate a commercial vehicle (NOT CDL). The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in homes, businesses, storage facilities, and restoration job sites. This is a field-based position. The Content Mover will work at residential and commercial properties, storage facilities, company vehicles, and restoration job sites. The position may require flexible hours, overtime, weekends, and emergency response depending on business needs.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to meet applicable DOT driver requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete required DOT physical/drug screening, if applicable.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional customer-service skills.
  • Ability to pass required background, driving, and employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
  • Previous restoration, moving, warehouse, delivery, or contents-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate company box trucks to and from restoration job sites.
  • Meet all applicable DOT requirements and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Load, secure, transport, unload, and organize customer contents and company equipment.
  • Document contents according to company procedures.
  • Carefully handle furniture, appliances, electronics, household goods, and personal belongings.
  • Load and unload materials from properties, warehouses, storage facilities, and vehicles.
  • Properly protect customer property and prevent additional damage during handling and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate contents inventories and job documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow company safety procedures and restoration industry standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, insurance representatives, and management.
  • Assist restoration technicians with other job-site duties as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and always represent the company positively.
