About The Position

Boston College is seeking a temporary Content Tutor for Student-Athlete Academic Services. This role involves facilitating the learning process by providing content-based knowledge, study strategies, and time management support to student-athletes. Tutors will assist students in reviewing concepts and developing academic and study strategy skills, working individually or in groups. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject knowledge, effective communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate students towards self-sufficiency. This role requires working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with learning disabilities or other academic challenges, while managing multiple time demands and distractions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated competency, patience, and professionalism.
• Available for a minimum of 4 hours over at least two days/nights, Sunday - Thursday.
• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information and share information only with authorized SAAS personnel in accordance with University policy and FERPA requirements.
• Demonstrated understanding and adherence to principles of ethical conduct.
