The Content Strategy & Social Media Manager is responsible for defining what content Momofuku Goods makes, why it matters, and how it shows up across social — combining strategic thinking with hands-on creation. This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, performance, and execution. You’ll develop content series, formats, and narratives designed to perform on social, guide day-to-day content creation, and ensure what we publish is intentional, coherent, and grounded in how people actually consume content today. This is a hybrid role for someone who can think strategically about content systems and narratives, while also creating, testing, and iterating in real time. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Content & Social, while collaborating cross-functionally with Creative, Paid Media, eCommerce, and Brand. This role is expected to exercise independent judgment over content formats, testing priorities, and series development — not just execute briefs handed down. Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in social content and content strategy, with hands-on responsibility for short-form video.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and evolve content series, formats, or concepts that perform on social platforms.
  • Strong mobile video editing skills using tools like CapCut, Adobe Express, or comparable apps, with comfort shooting and iterating quickly.
  • Deep fluency in social platform behaviors, emerging formats, and creator-led content norms.
  • Strong writing skills across social copy and short-form messaging, with a clear point of view.
  • Comfort interpreting performance data and translating insights into content direction and testing priorities.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and confident exercising judgment rather than waiting for detailed direction.

Responsibilities

  • CONTENT STRATEGY & SERIES DEVELOPMENT
  • Own the development and evolution of repeatable social content series, ad concepts, and formats designed to drive performance, not just fill the calendar.
  • Translate brand priorities, campaign goals, and product stories into clear content angles, narratives, and social-first concepts.
  • Independently pitch fully formed content ideas, including the hook, format, and rationale for why they should perform on specific platforms, including paid.
  • Partner with the Director of Content & Social to pressure-test ideas before they are briefed to Creative, creators, or agencies.
  • Maintain a lightweight content roadmap that balances tentpole moments, evergreen series, and reactive cultural opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to refresh, retire, or double down on content formats based on performance signals.
  • SOCIAL CONTENT EXECUTION & PUBLISHING
  • Guide day-to-day social content creation across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook, ensuring alignment with Momofuku’s voice, visual standards, and point of view.
  • Oversee the development, drafting, scheduling, and QA of social posts within the weekly publishing rhythm.
  • Personally capture, edit, and publish short-form social content on a regular basis, with a focus on fast, social-first video.
  • Serve as a reliable in-house creator who can quickly shoot and iterate on content ideas to inform series development and creative direction.
  • Maintain fluency in platform behaviors, emerging formats, creator techniques, and evolving content norms, and translate those insights into actionable direction.
  • Organize and maintain content libraries, shot lists, filenames, and asset tracking to enable efficient cross-team use.
  • Prepare content bundles and handoffs for Creative, Paid Media, and eCommerce teams to support amplification and distribution.
  • PERFORMANCE, TESTING & OPTIMIZATION
  • Analyze performance across social posts, series, and formats to surface clear learnings and next actions, not just metrics.
  • Use performance insights to inform content direction, testing priorities, and format evolution.
  • Partner with Paid Media to identify organic content with strong amplification potential and understand why it performs.
  • Flag opportunities for lightweight A/B testing across hooks, formats, and messaging.
  • COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT & CHANNEL OWNERSHIP
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement across social channels.
  • Respond to comments and DMs in Momofuku’s voice.
  • Surface community insights, trends, and UGC opportunities.
  • Shape how the brand shows up conversationally, not just visually.
  • CROSS - FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
  • Work hand-in-hand with Paid Media to ensure synergies between top-performing organic and paid content.
  • Collaborate with the Influencer & Content Manager to identify emerging creators and UGC partners aligned with content strategy.
  • Partner with eCommerce on PDP content, site updates, and product launch storytelling.
  • Work with Creative and Brand to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and operationally efficient.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Retail teams to fulfill content needs for key partners and storefronts.
  • Serve as connective tissue between strategy, execution, and performance.
