About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking a content producer to work closely with producers, assignment desk editors, anchors, and reporters to create news content for both broadcast and all digital platforms. This role involves writing, editing, building graphics, and potentially recording video material for social and digital platforms. The producer will be responsible for conceptualizing, writing, and editing stories in various formats (VO, VO/SOT & PKG), coordinating scripts and storylines with appropriate video sources and graphics, and ensuring the accuracy of graphics and banners. They will also log news, inform producers of usable material, and serve as a breaking news coordinator, writing breaking-news content under tight deadlines. Additionally, the producer will write and edit content for Fast Channel.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• A degree in Broadcasting, Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 1 year experience writing in a broadcast or cable news environment
• Strong news writing skills
• Knowledge and understanding nonlinear editing systems and workflows. (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Knowledge and understanding of various media platforms, including broadcast, web, mobile and Social Media platforms.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a flexible schedule with ability to work any of a 24x7 shifts and willingness to work long hours, weekends and holidays with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Fort Worth, TX just south of DFW airport
• Must have an active Driver’s License and good driving record

Responsibilities
