About The Position

We’re looking for a technically fluent Content Marketing Manager who can translate complex AI Production Engineering concepts into clear, compelling content for engineering and support leaders. You’ll help bring our category messaging to life through high-quality content that educates the market, builds credibility with technical audiences, and supports inbound demand. This role reports to the Head of Growth Marketing and will own day-to-day execution of our content engine—from SEO research and content planning to writing technical blog posts, developing customer stories, and supporting thought leadership initiatives. Why This Role Matters The market is flooded with AI hype while teams struggle with the real challenges of operating what they’ve built in production. Engineering and support leaders are dealing with growing complexity, limited visibility, and increasing operational risk. PlayerZero is defining a new approach to AI Production Engineering, helping organizations understand and manage what actually happens after code ships. Your work will help translate complex ideas into practical, trustworthy content that helps technical leaders understand the problem, evaluate new approaches, and see how unified production intelligence fits into their world. If you enjoy making complicated technical topics clear, useful, and credible for real practitioners, this role will give you a lot of ownership and impact.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of content marketing experience writing for technical audiences (B2B SaaS, developer tools, AI, infrastructure, or adjacent spaces)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating clear, accurate, and engaging technical content
  • Experience using SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar) to inform content strategy
  • Track record of creating content that contributes to measurable business outcomes (traffic, engagement, leads, or pipeline influence)
  • Excellent project management and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • Comfortable learning and writing about complex topics across software engineering, QA, support, and AI
  • Understanding of how engineering leaders and technical practitioners evaluate new tools
  • Ability to interview subject matter experts and turn raw input into clear, usable content
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate research and drafting
  • Strong editorial judgment to refine AI-assisted content into high-quality, original work
  • Balanced approach to speed, accuracy, and credibility
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt tone across technical, educational, and customer-focused formats
  • Comfortable writing for a brand voice that is technically credible, practical, and free of marketing fluff

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality technical content including blog posts, technical guides, whitepapers, and customer stories
  • Translate concepts such as context graphs, production world models, and AI Production Engineering into clear, engaging narratives
  • Turn existing messaging and positioning into cohesive, multi-channel content
  • Develop customer stories that demonstrate concrete technical value and business impact
  • Support creation of podcast topics, speaking abstracts, and executive thought-leadership outlines
  • Conduct keyword research using tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush to identify high-value opportunities
  • Optimize content for search while maintaining technical accuracy and brand voice
  • Research and apply AI Engine Optimization (AEO) best practices for visibility in AI search experiences (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini)
  • Track performance and iterate based on engagement, traffic, and conversion data
  • Identify content gaps through competitive and market research
  • Own and maintain the content calendar and publishing cadence
  • Partner with Sales to understand customer questions, objections, and content needs
  • Work with Demand Generation on distribution and promotion
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to stay aligned on messaging and releases
  • Coordinate with agencies or contractors as needed to scale production
