This role is about translating complex technology into powerful human experiences and brand stories helping people understand not only what our products do, but why they matter. About the Role We are looking for a Manager / Creative Director, Brand & Experience Design to help define how HARMAN Automotive communicates innovation through compelling visual storytelling and immersive brand experiences. You will lead creative initiatives that translate product innovation into emotionally engaging narratives, campaign concepts, and visual worlds. Working closely with Design, Marketing, and Product teams, you will help shape the creative direction for how our technologies are presented across campaigns, launches, digital platforms, and events. This role combines creative leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on design direction. Your Team You will be part of HARMAN Automotive Design, a global, award-winning design studio spanning Germany, the United States, China, Korea, and Japan. Our designers work across disciplines from UX and product design to motion, spatial storytelling, and brand communication to create experiences that feel intuitive, emotional, and memorable. As a creative leader, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts that connect technology with human experience.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, or visual storytelling
  • Experience developing campaign concepts, brand worlds, or visual storytelling systems
  • Strong ability to translate technology and product features into compelling narratives
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on creative direction
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong creative vision and storytelling
  • Experience leading or shaping high-impact creative work
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with automotive, technology, or consumer electronics brands
  • Experience building visual storytelling systems across multiple channels
  • Experience with motion design, immersive experiences, or spatial storytelling
  • Interest in AI-driven creative tools and emerging design workflows

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision for brand storytelling, Automotive Portfolio and product communication
  • Develop visual worlds and campaign concepts that translate complex technologies into engaging narratives
  • Define creative direction and content for the car.harman.com, social channels, events and sales enablement
  • Define and evolve design languages for product launches, marketing content, and brand storytelling
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams across visual design, motion design, and experience storytelling
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Product teams to ensure creative work aligns with business strategy
  • Help shape how HARMAN communicates innovation through clear, emotional, and memorable storytelling
  • Mentor designers and help raise the creative bar across the organization
  • Explore new creative tools and technologies to expand how we visualize experiences
