USGI is seeking a Content Editor to support the Viking Task Order seated in the National Capital Region. This role involves providing substantive review of analytic content, verifying factual information, and ensuring suitability for publication. The Content Editor will determine product suitability for intended media and audience, edit for clear and cogent presentation, and identify errors of fact, factual inconsistencies, and contradictions. Responsibilities include verifying the accuracy of statements, figures, illustrations, and subject matter terms, and comparing these elements to ensure continuity and consistency with text. The role also requires checking citations against original sources and editing for adherence to analytic tradecraft standards of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 200-series. Contractor personnel will serve as subject matter experts for the development of doctrine, strategic guidance, and other governance documents. This includes researching, conceptualizing, analyzing, integrating, documenting, and publishing products. Managing the drafting of new doctrine publications involves using advanced writing skills to review, edit, and compile chapters and ancillary content. The role requires advising, managing, and conducting surveys, research, and analysis of current community activities to identify practices, techniques, and procedures that form the foundation of doctrine. Additionally, the Content Editor will review and edit documents for grammar, structure, and completeness, produce periodic analytical and progress reports for DCO leadership and stakeholders, and produce analytical products to support presentations, documents, and content for Joint Planning processes and Joint Doctrine publication.
