As members of the Content Governance team within Communications, content editors edit and proofread a broad scope of internal and external content, such as marketing materials, patient-facing materials, signage, social media copy, articles, reports, emails, newsletters and more. Editors make corrections for brand voice and style, and grammar and mechanics. They also perform a first-line risk assessment and flag items for further review as warranted. The successful candidate will have keen attention to detail, strong command of written English, knowledge of AP style, excellent judgment, and the ability to work efficiently and decisively without sacrificing accuracy. Healthcare communications experience is a plus but not required. This is a hybrid role. Staff will be on-site 2 days a week. The in office locations can be at Woodstock, Warrenville or downtown. The Communications Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting their Manager and other Communications team members in the execution of communications plans for assigned focus areas. This role is an activation expert and understands how the elements of a communications plan work together for maximum impact. Communications Specialists are also expected to have flawless execution of their plans in coordination with other team members. This individual works collaboratively with internal stakeholders in their assigned focus area.
