About The Position

Meyer is seeking a Content Creator to transform their products, team, and company journey into engaging content for social media. This role involves creating trend-aware short-form video, images, and other formats to convert viewers into followers and buyers. The Content Creator will collaborate with creative leads on strategy, planning, and filming, with significant creative ownership. The goal is to shape brand presence across social media platforms, driving creativity, performance, and community connection, while also elevating the broader social team's creative direction. This role requires being on camera, holding the camera, and editing the final product.

Requirements

  • Proven success in growing a social account, with a portfolio or account examples (required).
  • A strong eye for cookware and understanding of what makes cookware look aspirational on camera.
  • Self-sufficiency in filming and editing.
  • Comfort being on camera as an on-screen presence.
  • Fluency in short-form video trends, hooks, and best practices across Reels and TikTok.
  • Ability to quickly create on-brand graphics.
  • Awareness of internet culture, including breaking news, cultural shifts, trends, slang, and creator drama.
  • An improviser's mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make friends easily and foster idea generation.
  • Adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
  • Empathy to understand audience preferences and create engaging content.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple brands, channels, and deadlines.
  • Experience with paid social or working alongside a performance marketing team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CapCut (desktop), Premiere, Canva, Figma, or Photoshop.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Video Product Manager for social channels to understand product details and purpose.
  • Film yourself and others for various content types including unboxing videos, product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes footage, team features, episodic series, and memes.
  • Edit video content using CapCut (desktop) or Premiere.
  • Produce lo-fi graphics and design assets using Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or similar tools.
  • Write copy that is fluent in internet slang and brand-specific language.
  • Consistently pitch new content ideas, including memes.
  • Stay updated on breaking news, cultural shifts, trends, slang, and creator drama.
  • Demonstrate an improviser's mindset, embracing a "yes, and" approach to opportunities and challenges.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas.
  • Be genuinely social and build relationships to foster idea generation.
  • Adapt to a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
  • Show empathy by understanding the audience's perspective and creating content they will enjoy, without being overly attached to ideas that don't perform.
  • Organize and manage multiple brands, channels, and deadlines effectively.

  • Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000, DOE
