About The Position

The Content Creator – Video/Photo is responsible for capturing, producing, and editing high-quality video and photo content that advances the university’s brand, supports enrollment and advancement efforts, and tells the story of campus life with clarity and creativity. This role requires both technical skill and strong storytelling instincts, with the ability to translate the mission and distinctives of the university into compelling visual narratives across digital platforms especially social media.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional videography/photography and editing experience, ideally within a marketing, agency, or higher education environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear
  • Strong editing skills using industry standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and related tools
  • Ability to tell clear, compelling stories that connect with diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • A proactive mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Understanding of digital platforms and how video content performs across web, social media, and email
  • Alignment with the mission and values of the university

Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit video/photo content for a wide range of university needs, including enrollment, advancement, office of the president, academics, athletics, and campus life
  • Produce a variety of video formats, including short form social media content, long form storytelling pieces, interviews, event recaps, and promotional campaigns
  • Capture on campus events such as EU Launch, Homecoming, and Commencement, among others, and special announcements with professionalism and adaptability
  • Maintain and organize video/photo equipment, ensuring proper care, inventory, and readiness for use
  • Manage digital assets, including archiving, tagging, and organizing video/photography files for long term use
  • Stay current with video trends, platform requirements, and emerging technologies to ensure content remains relevant and effective
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, faculty, staff, and students to identify and develop story opportunities
  • Ensure all content reflects the university’s brand standards, voice, and visual identity
  • Create and post social media content as needed and participate in analytics and content maintenance on platforms
  • All other duties as assigned to collaborate with the Marketing team
