About The Position

Grease Monkey is seeking a unique individual to fill the role of Content Creator/Lube Technician. This position requires a blend of automotive maintenance skills and content creation abilities. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality automotive maintenance while also capturing and producing engaging content that showcases the shop's expertise and customer trust. The role involves working both in the service bay and behind the lens, creating, editing, and posting content across various social media platforms.

Requirements

Previous experience in automotive maintenance.
Competent and safe in performing automotive maintenance.
Proficient in mobile editing apps (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or native IG/TikTok editors).
Comfortable being on camera or narrating 'how-to' videos.
Understanding of lighting, framing, and video engagement techniques.

Nice To Haves

Ability to capture 'satisfying maintenance clips (ASMR)'
Ability to explain 'educational' moments (e.g., explaining why a cabin filter needs replacing).
Professional yet approachable tone for on-camera or narration.

Responsibilities

Perform high-standard oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and preventive maintenance.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Communicate mechanical issues clearly to service advisors.
Film 'behind-the-scenes' footage, satisfying maintenance clips, and educational moments.
Edit and produce 3–5 high-energy Reels/TikToks per week using trending audio and clear storytelling.
Manage daily Stories (5+ per day).
Respond to comments/DMs to build community trust.
Work with management to highlight specific promotions or seasonal services.
