About The Position

Project 26 is seeking passionate and creative individuals for their 2026 Content Creator Fellowship. This fellowship is designed for Pennsylvania youth who are ready to challenge political issues impacting their futures and build a Pennsylvania where Gen-Z can lead and thrive. The role involves creating engaging content to mobilize students for Pennsylvania's 2026 elections, educating Gen-Z on key issues, and building social media following and engagement. This is a paid fellowship offering an inside look at campaign work and valuable experience in content creation for young voters.

Requirements

• Be comfortable being on camera.
• Understand the correct tone & pace for short-form video.
• Create content that sounds natural & organic, rather than scripted & pre-informed.
• Seek out and consume noteworthy content and current events, and synthesize and interpret that for a young audience.
• Ensure brand consistency across platforms.
• Stay current with pop culture and politics-related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to the P26 brand.
• Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and/or interest of politics.
• Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen-Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved.
• Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region.
• Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers) in person and online.
• Be creative and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
• Be exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills.
• Be enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and/or a Pennsylvania resident.

Responsibilities

• Build social media following and engagement with the guidance of professional social media & comms strategists.
• Film and edit short-form (up to 3 min) creative videos to mobilize students for Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections.
• Film and edit short-ish form (up to 5 min) creative content for YouTube to educate and mobilize Gen-Z.
• Create static content and designs to engage and educate student voters.
• Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA’s 2026 elections.
• Produce and post a minimum of 8 pieces of short-form content per week.
• Engage with followers and talk to students about the importance of the upcoming elections.
