About The Position

Project 26 is seeking Digital Fellows to join their in-house influencers cohort and work alongside the Campus Organizing Team. This fellowship is designed to mobilize students for Pennsylvania's 2026 elections by building social media following and engagement, creating short-form video and static content, and developing regional social media strategies. Fellows will gain experience in crafting content that emphasizes key messages and provides critical resources for young voters. The fellowship runs from late January through November 13, 2026, with fellows expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Be comfortable being on camera.
• Understand the correct tone & pace for short-form video.
• Create content that sounds natural & organic, rather than scripted & pre-informed.
• Seek out and consume noteworthy content and current events– synthesis and interpret that for a young audience.
• Ensure brand consistency across platforms.
• Stay current with pop culture and politics-related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to our P26 brand.
• Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and/or interest of politics.
• Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen-Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved.
• Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region.
• Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers) in person and online.
• Be creative and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
• Be exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills.
• Be enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and/or a Pennsylvania resident.

Responsibilities

• Build social media following and engagement through working with professional social media & comms strategists.
• Film and edit short-form (up to 3 min) creative videos to mobilize students for Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections.
• Film and edit short-ish form (up to 5 min) creative content to educate and mobilize Gen-Z on YouTube.
• Create static content and designs that will engage and educate student voters.
• Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA’s 2026 elections.
• Produce and post a minimum of 8 pieces of short form content per week.

Benefits
