About The Position

As Contamination Control Services Manager you’ll provide operational and compliance leadership for UniClean contamination control services performed at customer locations. Initially, this position will be assigned primarily to a designated customer site, providing hands-on leadership to stabilize operations, strengthen team performance, address identified compliance and service gaps, and ensure consistent execution in accordance with customer procedures, GMP requirements, and UniClean expectations. As the CCS program develops, the role will expand to provide leadership and oversight across multiple customer locations, establishing consistent operating standards, developing site leadership, monitoring performance, supporting customer relationships, and driving continuous improvement across UniClean's contamination control service operations. This position requires a strong working knowledge of GMP operations and the ability to effectively lead employees working within pharmaceutical and controlled environments. The Manager serves as a key liaison between UniClean leadership, onsite teams, and customer Operations, Quality, Safety, and Facilities organizations.

Requirements

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5+ years experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or controlled environment operations required
Prior leadership experience in regulated environments strongly preferred
Ability to read, interpret, and apply detailed written procedures in English
Ability to communicate effectively with customer leadership and internal teams
Ability to document and report operational and compliance issues clearly and accurately
Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
Accountable for ensuring full team compliance with procedures, training, and documentation requirements
Responsible for maintaining data integrity and ensuring all training and documentation is accurate and attributable
Must ensure all training is completed individually and in compliance with established requirements
Any deviation from procedure must be immediately addressed, documented, and escalated
Ability to operate effectively in controlled environments requiring cleanroom gowning when necessary
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities across site operations
Ability to interface directly with customer leadership in a professional and structured manner
Understanding that all work is performed per customer procedures; not authorized to interpret or modify processes outside defined scope

Responsibilities

Initially provide direct, onsite leadership at an assigned customer location to stabilize CCS operations, correct identified performance and compliance gaps, and establish sustainable operating practices.
Lead all contamination control service operations within assigned customer site(s), ensuring execution aligns with customer procedures, scope of work, GMP requirements, and UniClean standards.
Assess existing operations and develop corrective action plans addressing staffing, supervision, training, scheduling, documentation, communication, quality, and service execution.
Establish clear expectations and accountability for supervisors and team members and actively manage performance until sustainable site leadership and processes are established.
Serve as UniClean's primary operational point of contact for customer leadership, including Operations, Quality, Safety, Facilities, and other applicable stakeholders.
Develop effective working relationships with customer leadership and proactively identify and resolve service or compliance concerns before they result in escalation.
Participate in customer meetings, operational reviews, investigations, audits, and other activities necessary to support the CCS program.
Maintain accountability for training completion and integrity, GDP/ALCOA documentation practices, gowning and controlled-environment behaviors, procedural compliance, and adherence to defined scope of work.
Ensure employees are properly trained, qualified, and authorized before independently performing work within GMP or controlled environments.
Manage staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management necessary to meet planned and on-demand customer requirements.
Identify, investigate, communicate, and escalate deviations, compliance risks, service failures, and other operational concerns.
Support investigations, CAPAs, customer corrective actions, audit responses, and continuous improvement activities related to contamination control services.
Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality, compliance, staffing, training, service completion, customer performance, and operational effectiveness.
Reinforce a strong quality culture emphasizing individual accountability, data integrity, procedural compliance, and timely escalation.
Ensure customer requests and activities remain within contractual scope and appropriately escalate potential scope changes or additional service requirements.
As the CCS program expands, assume operational oversight of CCS teams across multiple customer locations.
Establish standardized CCS operating practices, management expectations, performance metrics, and communication processes across customer locations.
Develop and coach onsite supervisors and managers to create sustainable local leadership and consistent execution across the CCS organization.
Conduct periodic site visits and operational assessments to evaluate performance, identify risks, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Support implementation and startup of new CCS customer locations, including staffing, training, operational readiness, customer coordination, and transition to steady-state operations.
Partner with UniClean Quality, Operations, Sales, Contracts, and senior leadership to support growth and long-term management of the CCS business.
Identify systemic trends across customer locations and implement program-level improvements rather than addressing issues solely at the individual-site level.
