About The Position
The Laborer safely and efficiently performs general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Duties may include cleaning work areas and equipment, fueling vehicles and equipment, yard work, operating general site vehicles and equipment, maintaining and repairing office areas, installing temporary wind fences, and directing site traffic. Other job-related duties may be assigned. The stated pay range is $15.65 to $21.50. The actual range depends on the locality in which the employee is hired. Eligible employees may elect to participate in the listed compensation and benefits programs.
Responsibilities
- Clean up work areas.
- Fuel vehicles and equipment.
- Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment.
- Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
- Install temporary wind fences as required.
- Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
