About The Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Container Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the design and operational requirements involved in migrating applications to a container platform, specifically OpenShift. The ideal candidate will interface with Development, Architecture, and Platform teams to analyze requirements and support container onboarding for mission-critical applications.

Requirements

Redhat OpenShift experience
Experience with the Linux Operating System (configurations and parameters)
Cloud Architecture with integration of Microservice Development
Container Image development/configuration
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or Information Systems Related) with 5 years of field experience, or Master's Degree with 3 years field experience

Nice To Haves

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with spreadsheet & design toolsets (Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Confluence, PowerPoint)
Agile tools (Jira)
Technical aptitude
Comfortable participating in/driving technical project discussions
Requirements analysis and triage/troubleshooting skillset
Critical thinker who can communicate effectively across different levels in the organization

Responsibilities

Design and manage operational requirements for moving applications to a container platform
Interface with Development, Architecture, and Container Platform teams to analyze requirements
Support container onboarding for mission-critical applications
