About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a Container Delivery Driver to join their growing team in El Paso, TX. This role involves operating a garbage truck on specified routes, performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, and interacting courteously with customers. The position requires physical stamina for loading and unloading, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
Valid U.S. Drivers License
Clean Motor Vehicle Record
Ability to lift, push, pull objects over 50 pounds.

Waste experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Sequence routes for optimal efficiency.
Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
