About The Position

Hardin Sanitation, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-conscious Container Delivery Driver to join the team at our hauling location in Meridian, ID. The position will be responsible for driving specified routes to pick up and deliver recycling and garbage containers to new and existing customers. Daily work will involve heavy industrial lifting, lifting waist high, gripping with hands, moving at a brisk consistent pace, and occasional bending. This position will also be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously serving customers.

Requirements

Valid Drivers license, with Clean Driving Record.
Must pass criminal background check, drug panel screening, and motor vehicle report (Clean driving record) to be eligible for employment.
Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months through company training.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Ability to work a physically demanding job. Loading and unloading cans with no helpers.
Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments
Candidates for employment must meet position requirements, pass pre-employment examinations including: Background Check, Driving Record (MVR), DOT physical.

Responsibilities

Ability to safely operate delivery truck to deliver containers.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Washing, repairing, and assembling trash bins and containers
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, lifting and moving containers that weigh over 75 pounds.
Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
Courteous interaction with our customers
Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
