Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while keeping a professional and calm composure
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Electronic health record (EHR) experience is a plus.
  • Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza

Responsibilities

  • Have the highest quality customer service on the phone
  • Determine patient needs and direct them appropriately
  • Receive, answer, and respond to telephone calls from patients and their representatives
  • Perform data entry of demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule and register patients, including accurately collecting required data
  • Answer questions and give information on the telephone within the scope of practice. Refer all other questions to the specified departments as needed.
  • Update new insurance information as received
  • Perform other duties as assigned
