Dow Credit Union is looking for a Consumer Loan Officer who thrives on building relationships and guiding members through their lending journey. Requirements

2–3 years of consumer lending or related experience
Strong understanding of loan processing, regulations, and member service
Ability to make confident credit decisions and handle confidential information professionally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

Assist members in identifying personal lending needs and present the best loan options
Take applications online and in person, evaluate creditworthiness, and make sound credit decisions
Create loans within established authority while adhering to lending policies
Counsel members on credit issues and loan products
Maintain accurate documentation and manage the loan pipeline
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners (dealers, insurers, Visa, etc.)
Actively cross-sell additional credit union services
