About The Position

The Consumer Lending Sales Specialist is responsible for generating and originating consumer loans through inbound and outbound sales activities. This role manages phone and internet applications, conducts outbound prospecting, guides members through the lending process, establishes memberships when required, and promotes deposit products that strengthen member relationships. The position is commission eligible and is expected to achieve established lending, sales, and service goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in consumer lending, loan origination, financial services sales, or a high-volume sales and service environment required.
• Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of consumer lending products and processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively by phone and digital channels.
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Experience with consumer loan applications, loan processing, indirect lending, call center operations, or financial institution sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept and process inbound loan applications and inquiries.
• Manage internet loan leads and digital applications.
• Conduct outbound calling campaigns to generate new lending opportunities.
• Interview applicants and gather required information.
• Collect, verify, and track stipulations and supporting documentation.
• Explain loan decisions, terms, conditions, and funding requirements.
• Prepare and distribute loan documents for signature.
• Prepare completed loans for funding and quality control review.
• Establish membership accounts when required prior to funding.
• Educate members on basic deposit products and services.
• Maintain compliance with lending policies and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
