Requirements

Previous experience in consumer lending and home equity loan processing preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in finance or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

Review and process consumer loan applications, in an efficient manner, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
Evaluate and verify borrower information, credit reports, and supporting documents
Prepare and submit loan packages for approval, adhering to credit union policies and procedures
Process home equity loan applications, including documentation review and compliance checks
Communicate with members when needed to gather additional information and provide updates on application status
Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and ensure timely processing
Collaborate with sales and underwriting when needed to facilitate efficient smooth loan approval and funding processes
Stay informed about lending policies, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance
