About The Position

At Mariner Finance, our branch teams work directly with customers to understand their financial needs, present lending solutions, manage account relationships, and contribute to the success of the business. This customer-facing, sales-oriented role is for someone motivated, coachable, competitive, and ready to build a career in consumer finance. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, outgoing, resilient, and motivated by success. They should be comfortable making outbound calls, asking questions, and listening carefully. The ability to uncover customer needs and present customer solutions is key. This role requires confidence in engaging warm leads, building rapport, overcoming objections, and closing sales. The ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, while remaining professional during challenging conversations, is essential. The candidate should be coachable, accountable, and team-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in a sales position.
Highly motivated individual with an interest in the consumer finance industry.
Capable of sustaining or exceeding individual sales goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to leverage and learn new sales platforms and cutting-edge technologies.
Complete functions in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to obtain any essential licenses required by the state.

Nice To Haves

1 year of outbound calling experience.
Experience in lending, consumer loans, or collections.
Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to develop business, follow up on opportunities, and support account relationships.
Support branch growth by meeting or exceeding individual and branch performance goals.
Build relationships with current and potential customers through respectful, solution-focused communication.
Consult with customers to understand needs and identify appropriate lending options.
Process loan applications and gather required credit, income, and financial information.
Present loan solutions and available products clearly, confidently, and compliantly.
Educate customers on loan terms, payment expectations, account requirements, and available services.
Help customers resolve account concerns, make payment arrangements, and stay on track.
Positively impact customer service, credit quality, and branch profitability.
Process payments, maintain accurate records, support cash drawer responsibilities, and assist with daily operations.
Learns Federal, State, and Local Application Consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
Maintains a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
May perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.
