Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, or a relevant quantitative field.
  • 5–10 years of consumer research experience, with CPG industry experience preferred.
  • Expertise in methodologies such as Concept Testing, TURF, Pricing Sensitivity Studies, and Packaging Tests.
  • Proven ability to moderate focus groups and conduct one-on-one interviews.
  • Experience with IHUTs and online/in-store shelf assessments.
  • Willingness to be in-office 3 days a week to foster collaboration and impact.

  • Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, with a track record of designing innovative research approaches.
  • Confidence and clarity when presenting insights to senior leaders, driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Experience shaping product directions in early development phases, balancing consumer needs with business opportunities.
  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail, synthesizing data from various sources into actionable strategies.

  • Ability to set the team’s direction to deliver on business asks as well as own research deliverables from end to end.

Responsibilities

  • Present complex insights to SharkNinja executives, including the CEO, CCO, and EVPs, using expert storytelling to influence product development and marketing strategies.
  • Identify unmet needs, observe the non-obvious, and guide early-stage product development to create groundbreaking innovations.
  • Translate consumer feedback, including latent needs and dissatisfaction, into actionable recommendations that transform product features and offerings.
  • Operate autonomously as a Subject Matter Expert in consumer insights, synthesizing complex data into a clear, strategic narrative.
  • Develop, manage, and execute research plans, ensuring they align with budgets and organizational goals.
  • Set up your team for success, and cultivate their ongoing growth and development.
