About The Position

The Associate Consumer Finance Specialist is responsible for servicing loan customers by phone, email, chat, and other forms of communication. The work includes following up with customers and sales representatives by phone, chat, and/or email to communicate the status of their application, compiling the appropriate documents to complete the loan, and ensuring loans are signed by customers in a timely manner. The documents or information is then reviewed by the lender to finish processing.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections, negotiate positive outcomes and present positive image of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer/data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and be pro-active, detail oriented, and well-organized

Responsibilities

  • Process opportunities, non-instant approvals, and support requests, utilizing associated systems.
  • Keep up-to-date statuses and next action dates so the team can efficiently and effectively complete the work.
  • Communicate to customers, sales reps, and retailers when customer account status or additional information is required to resolve open items.
  • For qualified customers, complete loan application data entry in the lender platform.
  • Review status of loan decisions.
  • Track all workflow items and next action steps in the appropriate system.
  • Communicate with the customer, sales rep, and consumer finance specialist about the status of the application and next steps.
  • Compile the appropriate documents to complete the loan, and ensure loans are signed in a timely manner.
  • Send all documents and/or information to lender for final processing.
  • Update the appropriate system on the status of the application and any issues.
  • Communicate with the customer, sales rep, retailer, and consumer finance specialist as appropriate.
  • Handle routine, standard, repetitive administrative and reporting duties as assigned.
  • Document current processes and recommend improvements.
