About The Position

The Consumer Engagement Specialist supports the research, development, and implementation of consumer engagement initiatives and related projects. These initiatives will be determined through review of the strategic business plans for each market, hospital and clinic across the enterprise. The specialist will support a transition from mass marketing to precision marketing and consumer engagement at a 1:1 level, reaching consumers all along the continuum of their health and wellness journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing and/or related degree.
• 3+ years previous marketing experience.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office software with an emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.
• Familiarity with consumer health behaviors and interest in learning about services and capabilities across UT Health East Texas market

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Meets regularly, virtually or in person, with the consumer engagement team and others involved in the development of 1:1 consumer engagement strategy.
• Communicates effectively with clinicians/physicians, peers and other consumer experience and engagement team members.
• Collaborates and builds relationships within the department and with local consumer engagement leaders.
• Utilizes precision engagement tactics.
• Works closely with the consumer experience and data/technology teams to develop content and ideas to grow engagement.
• Researches and provides content for business letters, newsletters, brochures, press releases, fact sheets, direct mail, web and social media, among others.
• Supports the broader team in creating, executing and monitoring the annual consumer engagement plan, timeline and budget.
• Provides regular and thorough project status updates to the consumer engagement manager
