About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Consumer Electronics Strategy Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by leveraging deep Consumer Electronics industry knowledge, market research, and technology roadmaps to lead the development of the strategic plan. You will complete market & competitive intelligence analysis to keep the organization informed and determine priority spaces for where to play and how to win, including TAM/SAM. This role ties to key investment themes and drives exposure to parts of the end-market product and technology stack which are growing faster than the underlying market. You will drive and own the presentation materials for “always on” strategy activities and rhythm at the Business Group-level, collaborating with vertical operations leaders and vertical teams for customer and application-specific detail. You will develop a list of key growth vectors, strategic priorities (split by organic, partner, and inorganic priorities) and set up success measures, investment milestones, and tracking processes. You will develop detailed plans to bridge from strategy to executable plans and determine strategic and priority accounts to drive growth to operationalize the growth strategies in partnership with the vertical alliances team. You will collaborate with vertical leadership and marketing on external engagement prioritization & planning (3M events, industry events). You will drive a consistent global go-to-market strategy tied to business model(s), resource allocation, and omnichannel approach. You will establish go-to-market and ecosystem partnership priorities, leading top of funnel and initial prioritization activities. You will oversee key projects related to major business transformation / change journeys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience across topics such as strategy, marketing, business operations, and business development in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Five (5) years of consumer electronics industry experience and interest, particularly within the Electronics supply chain or a leading OEM
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution
  • Conducts complex research and quantitative analyses to identify business trends, evaluate opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Leads and optimizes end-to-end business processes, establishing governance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Experienced using Salesforce and other enterprise data sources to develop insights, monitor key performance indicators, and inform business planning and forecasting activities.
  • Partners across cross-functional teams and organizational boundaries to drive alignment, manage competing priorities, and successfully execute high-impact business initiatives.
  • Prepares and delivers executive-level communications, presentations, and recommendations while engaging senior internal and external stakeholders to influence decisions and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Leveraging deep Consumer Electronics industry knowledge, market research, technology roadmaps, lead development of the strategic plan
  • Complete market & competitive intelligence analysis to keep the organization informed and determine priority spaces for where to play and how to win (including TAM/SAM); tie to key investment themes, and drive exposure to parts of the end-market product and technology stack which are growing faster than underlying market
