About The Position

Axos is seeking someone to analyze and perform risk assessments on potential loan applicants determining borrowing history and other specific risk factors to determine credit worthiness.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of consumer unsecured underwriting loan amounts
• Knowledge of and exposure to theories, principles, and concepts with lending regulations
• Strong understanding of ‘online’ lending, fraud risk and suspicious data attributes.
• Experience with training and supporting others with loan decisions.
• Support the maintenance and suggests enhancements to processes.
• Must be flexible to work Monday - Saturday shift.
• Requires flexibility in work schedule, evening hours and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review consumer installment loan applications and all supporting documentation; to reasonably determine an applicant’s financial condition rendering sound decisions supported by guidelines and company policies.
• Communication and notation are clear and thorough to ensure audit and forensic teams understand reasoning for decisions.
• Identifies suspicious data with a seasoned comprehension of online fraud activity and suspicious data points, immediately notifying management of new trends.
• Discusses aspects of loan decisions with applicant, lead source provider or dealership - providing clear and knowledgeable communication.
• Supports training of credit staff and identifies opportunities for both system and process enhancements.
• Meet/exceed performance requirements as evidenced by QC reporting, application count and time to decision.
