About The Position

The Consumables Department Manager is responsible for providing customer service by coordinating the activities of associates to complete assigned handheld terminal activities. This role ensures a zoned and stocked salesfloor and offers assistance to meet customer shopping needs, maintaining and recovering merchandise in a safe and clean environment. The Department Manager functions as a team lead, strategically planning and executing duties based on workload and customer traffic patterns.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on the completion of Customer Availability Process tasks - Section Work, Capping bins, Stocking picks
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on the completion of price changes and feature sets
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on modular completion in assigned area
• Delegate and support with coverage in required areas on the salesfloor as needed, support with recovery and zoning activities.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Ensuring associate breaks are taken in accordance with coverage.
• Training, developing and offering feedback to associates.
